Matte paint for the Rough Draft movie

Matte paint for the Rough Draft movie
Our part in this project were mattepaints and concept arts.
In the post you can see several mattepaints with breakdowns and also there are some final compositings from the movie.
In The First shot we`ve developed the whole background. There wasn`t any background`s shot plate in the recordings.
In the second shot we`ve made the background with greenery and tower. It`s that the background on which main character was swimming.
The third and the fourth shots are the same variations of one angle. The main feature of working on this mattepaint for these shots was the requirement that the mattepaint was supposed to work with 2 different lighting scenario – daylight and sunset.
In the Fifth`s shot our duty and goal were to show surrealistic fragment of the reality. As the source for mattepaint we used photos of Red Square, in which all cars were removed while working on these photos.
Thereafter we added architectures objects from the worldwide places, especially to reproduce, capture the surrealistic of what was happening.
